Shankaracharya Jayanti 26th April 2012

Adi Guru Shankaracharya Jayanti was celebrated at Mahanagar, Lucknow centre of Vedanta Mission, Indore on 26th April 2012 at 05:30 PM. Swamini Samatananda ji of Vedanta Ashram, Indore gave discourse on Shankaracharya's life. Earlier, there were chantings of Guru stotram & Kaivalya stotram. Programmed concluded with Aarti & prasad.

Geeta Gyan Yagya 18th to 24th April 2012

Swamini Samatananda Saraswati of Vedanta Ashram, at Indore (MP, India) and disciple of Poojya Guruji Sri Swami Atmananda Saraswati conducted a seven day Gita Gyan Yagya at Hanuman Setu, Lucknow from 18th to 24th April 2012. During the yagya she gave discourse on Chapter 12 (Bhakti yog) of Shrimad Bhagwadgita during evening session (6-7:30 PM) and Ishavasyopnishad during morning session (7:30-9 AM).

Swamini Amitananda (Chinmaya Mission) visit to Lucknow

Reverend Swamini Amitananda ji visited Lucknow centre of Chinmaya Mission at Chinmaya Niket, 213, Kasmanda Regent Appartments, 2 Park Road, Hazratganj, Lucknow on two day tour 30th Nov. & 1st Dec.2011. During her stay, she blessed the followers of Chinmaya Mission & other visitors wih discourse on Vedanta. On 30th Nov. she spoke on 15th Chapter of Shrimad Bhagwad Geeta and tried to give a brief overview of the same. On 1st Dec. she took up the questions of devotees on vide ranging subjects related to vedas, Geeta & issues related to spiritual upliftment of devotees.

Geeta Gyan Yagya was organised by Lucknow centre of International Vedanta Mission, Indore where discourse on Chapter 13 of Shrimad Bhagwadgeeta and Kathopnishad was given by Swamini Amitananda ji. Swamini Poornananda also attended the Gyan Yagya.

Gyan Yagya was held from 18th to 26th September 2011 at Hari Om Mandir, Lalbagh, Lucknow.
